1. INTRODUCTION
- 1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of Dorotia’s Bwindi Eco Tourism Resort (“the Resort”) and its services, including but not limited to, accommodation, food and beverage, activities, and tours.
- 1.2 By making a reservation or using the Resort’s services, you (“the Guest”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
- 1.3 The Resort reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.
- 1.4 The Guest agrees to be bound by any changes to these Terms.
2. RESERVATIONS
- 2.1 Reservations can be made through the Resort’s website, email, phone, or in person at our offices.
- 2.2 The Guest must provide accurate and complete information when making a reservation, including but not limited to, name, contact details, and payment information.
- 2.3 The Resort reserves the right to cancel or modify a reservation if the Guest’s information is incomplete or inaccurate.
- 2.4 The Resort will send a confirmation email or letter to the Guest upon receipt of a reservation.
- 2.5 The Guest must confirm their reservation by responding to the confirmation email or letter within the specified timeframe.
3. PAYMENT TERMS
- 3.1 The Guest must pay the full amount of the reservation at the time of booking.
- 3.2 The Resort accepts various payment methods, including but not limited to, credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, mobile money and cash.
- 3.3 The Guest is responsible for any bank charges or fees associated with the payment.
- 3.4 The Resort reserves the right to charge the Guest’s credit card or debit card for any outstanding balances or damages.
4. CANCELLATION POLICY
- 4.1 The Guest may cancel a reservation by notifying the Resort in writing.
- 4.2 The Resort’s cancellation policy is as follows: • 30 days or more prior to arrival: 50% refund • 15-29 days prior to arrival: 25% refund • Less than 15 days prior to arrival: No refund
- 4.3 The Resort reserves the right to cancel a reservation if the Guest fails to pay the full amount of the reservation.
- 4.4 In the event of a cancellation, the Resort will refund the Guest’s payment in accordance with the cancellation policy.
5. CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
- 5.1 Check-in time is 2:00 pm, and check-out time is 10:00 am.
- 5.2 The Guest must present a valid government-issued ID, passport and credit card upon check-in.
- 5.3 The Guest must return their room key and settle their account upon check-out at the reception.
6. ROOM ALLOCATION
- 6.1 The Resort reserves the right to allocate rooms based on availability.
- 6.2 The Guest may request a specific room type or location, but the Resort cannot guarantee that the request will be honoured.
7. LIABILITY
- 7.1 The Guest is responsible for any damage or loss caused to the Resort’s property during their stay.
- 7.2 The Resort is not liable for any injury, illness, or death caused to the Guest during their stay.
- 7.3 The Resort is not liable for any loss or damage caused to the Guest’s property during their stay.
8. GOVERNING LAW
- 8.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda.
- 8.2 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act of Uganda.
9. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
- 9.1 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act of Uganda.
- 9.2 The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator appointed by the Resort.
- 9.3 The arbitration shall be conducted in English.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- 10.1 The Resort’s website, logo, and branding are the property of the Resort.
- 10.2 The Guest must not use the Resort’s website, logo, or branding without the Resort’s prior written consent.
11. FORCE MAJEURE
- 11.1 The Resort shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay is caused by a force majeure event.
- 11.2 A force majeure event includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, war, terrorism, and government regulations.
12. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
- 12.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Guest and the Resort.
- 12.2 These Terms supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements or understandings between the Guest and the Resort.
13. AMENDMENTS
- 13.1 The Resort reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.
- 13.2 Any amendments to these Terms will be effective immediately upon posting on the Resort’s website.
- 13.3 The Guest agrees to review these Terms regularly to ensure they are aware of any amendments.

- 15.1 By making a reservation or using the Resort’s services, the Guest acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
